I wanted to construct paper model car. But I didn't know which model. Finally, I decided Renault 12TL (1965). When I was a child, this model was trendy.

Most of the other model cars have paper plans. But Renault 12TL haven't got a plan. For that reason, I was try to find a technical properties and dimensions of this model. I found much photos and drawings of this car.



Firstly I drawed profiles of car with Auto-Cad program. This situation was boring. Because I had to draw all of details. Thank goodness, there was not much details. This facilitated of my works.


I got output from the printer this drawing and I cut model. Finally, the following has become my car. I have to make adjustments for the future. Let's see what will happen at a later time.









2014 Aston Martin Rapide S

The 2014 Aston Martin Rapide S goes for a cool $222,815.
Some days, it’s impossible to be objective.

These include those all-too-rare days that we hold the key—er, “ECU” (more on that later)—of an Aston Martin, which in any form, is by virtue of just being an Aston Martin one of the most loin-stirringly beautiful automobiles on Earth. Sure, Astons are blatantly elitist, horribly impractical even in four-door Rapide form, and eye-wateringly expensive. But when face-to-face with an automobile this achingly gorgeous, all sensibility is abandoned and one’s inner sybarite becomes the only influence you listen to.
That said, isn’t such a swirl of emotion exactly what should happen when you drop $222,815 on a car? Of course it is! We won’t take too much space here explaining the Rapide S’ stunning design details or its lip-smacking Volcano Red paint—we’ll let our photos do the talking there —but needless to say, the thing is beautiful everywhere, especially wearing the $7,570 carbon fiber accessory pack that came on our tester.
Take a DB9, add some distance between the front and rear axles, and you pretty much have the Rapide S.

But there’s a lot more you should know about the Rapide S, starting with the understanding that, like every other current Aston Martin, the Rapide S is a sports car first and foremost. This is good and bad. While it has four doors, the Rapide is not a tall “saloon” (British speak for “sedan”) like the limousine-like Bentley Flying Spur or Rolls Royce Ghost.

The Rapide S is essentially an Aston Martin DB9 with more distance between the front and rear wheel axles, allowing just enough room to accommodate two rear doors. As such, this is one of the world’s lowest and flattest four-doors, with exotic car width, and a very low roof. It looks like a DB9 sedan because it is a DB9 sedan.
Front seats in the Rapide S are comfortable and supportive, although may be a tad too firm.

And like the DB9, the Rapide’s doors—all four of ‘em, in this case—open at about a 15-degree upward angle, allowing them to open just fine even when parked next to a tall curb. This looks super-cool, of course, but note that these doors are small, so if you’re not, watch your head, especially if you’re trying to fold yourself into the two back seats. Both front and rear passengers sit low in the car’s tub, separated in the middle by a wide transmission tunnel that bisects the interior longitudinally at chest height. This doesn’t seem that weird in a two-seater but does seem strange in a four-door. At least all four chairs are very comfortable and supportive, if rather firm.

Our tester’s cabin came swathed in rich black leather, with red accents peeking through perforated in the seats. Like other Astons, craftsmanship is both deliciously organic—slight variations in the stitching shows you that a human being, not a robot, joined the leather panels together—and spectacularly precise, with no sloppiness whatsoever.

And there are plenty of thrilling design elements inside, including a faux suede headliner, a Bang & Olufsen sound system with pop-up tweeters, and $4,545-worth of gleaming carbon fiber trim, which, in contrast to most luxury four-doors, was perfectly in character with the Rapide S’ sporting purpose. And then there’s the aforementioned “Emotion Control Unit,” Aston’s fancy name for the posh, crystal-capped key fob that slots into the center of the dashboard. Insert it, press, hold, and watch the crystal glow red beneath your finger while the V-12 engine roars to life. Just don’t lose the ECU, or you may end up in the ICU when time comes to fork out the $750(!) replacement cost.

Speaking of the V-12, Aston is really good at them, and the one they squeeze under the long hood of the Rapide S produces a massive 550-horsepower and 457 lb.-ft. of torque, all sent to the rear wheels via a quick-shifting six-speed automatic. It’s pretty demure at startup. But press the discreet “sport” button on the lower center console, which sharpens gas pedal response, raises shift points into the engine’s sweet spot and shortens shift times—or shift manually using the fixed carbon fiber shift paddles—and you’ll unleash a beast of a performance car that you’d never guess is contained by that dapper exterior. Aston Martin claims that 60 mph arrives in about five seconds, which seems conservative based on the way the skin on your face stretches back over your ears under full throttle, especially once the needle crosses 4000 revs.

Now, without the ability to control it, all that power would be wasted. This is why Aston buttoned down the Rapide S’ suspension to feel as firm as the DB9 and tuned the steering to fingertip-tickling perfection. Body roll just doesn’t happen. And hiding behind those splendid diamond-turned wheels (a $4,920 option) are massive brakes that never showed a hint of fade, no matter how much abuse we subjected them to during our time with it. The ride is firm—remember, this ain’t no limo—but from a performance standpoint, the Rapide S is perfection.

But alas, in many other respects, the Rapide S is quite some distance from perfection.
A replacement for this crystal-capped key fob that glows when inserted into the dashboard goes for $750.

Outward vision is terrible. The cargo area is modest (though its hatchback access is appreciated). The Garmin-based navigation system is downright embarrassing. The steering wheel hub is one of the industry’s ugliest, a flagrant oversight considering all the gorgeousness elsewhere in the car. And the dashboard is an ergonomic disaster zone, with tiny buttons controlling the audio system, reading lamps, door locks, and more, all sprinkled haphazardly up and down the center console, with tiny script not making things any more discernable.

A sunroof would be a nice option, but the roof is too low to support it, and while it’s nice that Aston offers a dual screen rear-seat entertainment system (for $3,785!), you’re not going to want to put anyone you love in those snug seats for long enough to enjoy a flick.
Adding the 20-inch muti-spoke wheels with diamond turned finish wwill set you back another $4,920.

Despite those occasionally maddening flaws, the Rapide S is an exotic sedan that owners will probably find themselves driving every day, even if they have several other sexy steeds in the stable. It’s a luxurious, mouthwateringly beautiful sculpture of a car with an occasional practical side, and an uncanny ability to imprint a grin on the driver’s face the entire time he or she spends behind the wheel. It is that last quality that separates it from similarly swift Bentleys and Rolls Royces.

A Spaceship For The Sea


sea orbiter ile ilgili görsel sonucuScientists know more about the surface of the moon and Mars than they do about our own seafloor. Which helps explain the grand vision of the French architect Jacques Rougerie, who’s designed an ocean-going laboratory that rivals the Starship Enterprise in scope.

Rougerie envisions his machine, the SeaOrbiter, as a sort of space-age buoy floating unobtrusively in the ocean, equipped with submersibles and a team of divers who can explore and analyze the marine environment. “If we want to better understand the ocean, we need a paradigm shift in research,” he says. That means direct observation in remote locations like the Sargasso Sea, where forests of seaweed create a unique and poorly understood ecosystem. “Eels from North America and Europe converge here to spawn after spending decades in freshwater rivers,” says Sylvia Earle, a marine biologist and former National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration chief. “We know very little about this place, and it’s home to one of the most unusual life histories of any animal in the ocean.”

SeaOrbiter’s price tag—$48 million—is its biggest drawback. But, thanks to the French crowd-funding site KissKissBankBank, Rougerie and his team have raised $475,000 to begin construction of the orbiter’s eye later this year. If they can inspire deep-pocketed donors to fund the full amount—a big if, admittedly—they hope to finish the ship by the end of 2016.

3 Wet Lab: Each year, marine biologists discover about 2,000 new marine species, a number SeaOrbiter aims to increase. A wet lab filled with tanks would allow researchers to perform experiments and transport certain live specimens to more-sophisticated land-based research facilities.

4 Four-Car Garage: The underwater hangar would house a two-person submersible, two ROVs, and an autonomous drone that can dive to 6,000 meters. The hope is to use these vehicles to search the ocean depths for not only new life but also plankton, bacteria, and viruses that could help treat disease.

5 Data Hub: Communications Center Nemo, named after the anti-hero of Jules Verne’s sci-fi masterpiece 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, would serve as a broadcast studio for SeaOrbiter to share its discoveries with the world. The studio would also house a pipe organ, the favored musical instrument of Verne’s mad captain, who swore off life on land to pursue the mysteries of the abyss. (One crazy French science-fiction writer’s dream is apparently another French explorer’s reality.)

6 Undersea Quarters: Six crew members would live in a pressurized zone underwater, allowing them to dive all day to 100 meters. By living at saturation, they could complete experiments much more efficiently than land-based marine biologists do, and they wouldn’t need to bother with decompression stops upon returning to the ship. The pressurized quarters could also double as a simulator for space agencies to test operational protocols and perform psychological studies on long-term close-quarters living for future trips to space.

Realistic Painted Frescoes of Patrick Commecy

Not all forms of wall graffiti are acceptable – most are viewed as vandalism. But in the case of French street artist Patrick Commecy, homeowners actually invite him to paint on their walls. Along with his team of muralists, he transforms boring, dull patches of wall into vibrant scenes, full of life. In fact unless you have a ‘before’ picture, you might not even realize it’s a painting.

Patrick and his team travel across France,  hyper-realistic windows and balconies on bare walls that resemble the rest of the building. They dress up these painted windows with plants, birds and sometimes even rocks and waterfalls. It all looks so real that it’s confusing for a moment – it’s hard to tell the difference between a real tree and the painted one.


The phenomenal artist works his magic in several ways, transforming plain walls into vibrant cafes, bakeries, playgrounds, schoolhouses and more. In some of his works, he also incorporates paintings of popular figures and influential people who belong to the town that he’s painting in. You have to look closely at his murals to spot some of these people standing in a balcony or peeking through a window.


For instance, on the side of the first Guides Office, within view of Mont Blanc, he painted a mural depicting 20 pioneers of mountaineering. In the city of Montpellier, he used the ‘trompe l’oeil’ technique on a building, featuring six famous figures and residents from the city, including chemist Antoine Jerome Balard who discovered bromine.


The murals are fun, educational and surprisingly easy to maintain. People of all ages are entertained by Patrick’s art, which is now becoming a major tourist attraction as well. Residents of the various towns that he’s painted in, admit that his work has improved the quality of their lives, by highlighting their identity and history. All over France, Patrick is being regarded as a hero – giving ‘facelifts’ to otherwise obscure towns and improving their brand image.


Patrick has been painting murals since the late 70’s, when he founded his first group of muralists called the ‘City of Creation’. The artist currently lives in Vienna – he works out of his countryside studio, where he designs and builds all his projects. Patrick says that he enjoys painting on walls a lot more than painting for museums. “I practice the oldest profession in the world,” he said. “At all times, in all civilizations, men have painted that way. I use painting as a means of urban communication.”

Parallelogram found best for glass bottlesA Japanese research team has developed a glass bottle whose lid can be easily opened even by the elderly.

The team found an optimal bottle shape through feeling and numerical evaluations. The body of the bottle has a parallelogram-shaped cross-section so that the user can tightly hold it. It has a universal design that enables elderly people, women, children, etc to easily open the lid.

The glass bottle was developed by Noriko Hashida, professor at the College of Engineering and Design, Department of Engineering and Design, Shibaura Institute of Technology, and Hakuyo Glass Co Ltd, which is based in Tokyo.

First, Hashida asked men and women in their 20s to 80s to open the lids of 15 existing glass bottle products and evaluate “the ease of opening a lid” and “the ease of holding a bottle” in the feeling valuation. As a result, she found that the ease of holding a bottle depends on how the shape of a bottle fits the shape of the user’s hand and that the ease of opening a lid increases when a bottle shape is smooth from its neck to body.

Then, Hashida measured the movements of muscles at the time of opening and closing the lids with an electromyograph and examined how a force is applied to a bottle by using clay. After that, she came up with several shapes to narrow them down to one. As a result, she found that a parallelogram is the shape of the cross-section that enables to apply a force and open the lid of a bottle most easily.

Hakuyo Glass has already filed a patent application for the bottle design. It plans to commercialize the bottle, expecting that it will be used to store food such as jam and “tsukudani” (preservable food boiled down in soy sauce).

In recent years, as the use of plastic bottles spreads, the demand for glass bottles is decreasing. Though glass bottles look more valuable, have a higher heat resistance and is more sanitary, they have a disadvantage of lids that cannot be easily opened. To eliminate this disadvantage and make the advantages of glass bottles acknowledged anew, Hakuyo Glass asked Hashida to develop a well-designed, highly-functional glass bottle.
